Which offline translation languages does Talklation support?
Why Talklation shows a device-specific language list and how to check whether a source and target pair is ready.
Talklation does not use one universal offline language list. Open the language picker on the phone you will use: source languages must have both on-device speech recognition and translation, while target languages need translation support for the selected direction.
The device owns the real language list
Talklation does not publish one universal offline language list because availability can change with the operating-system version, device model, installed resources, and translation service supplied by the platform or manufacturer.
A source language must support both on-device speech recognition and on-device translation. A target language needs translation support for the selected direction. Talklation combines those checks and shows only choices the current phone reports as usable.

Apple and Android expose different capability surfaces
On Apple platforms, TranslationSession reports supported languages and whether resources are installed or can be prepared. On Android, TranslationManager reports translation sources and targets while SpeechRecognizer separately reports on-device recognition availability.
- An Android device without a usable on-device translation service may expose fewer pairs.
Check every direction on the actual phone
Open the language picker, choose the source and target, and read the readiness state. Complete any offered preparation action on a stable connection. If the pair remains unavailable, select another direction or use another supported device.
For an important trip or appointment, test every direction before leaving. A short successful airplane-mode test verifies the exact hardware, operating system, resources, and speech language together.
